The Old Norse Religion: concepts and methods of research

This article presents a literature and theoretical systematization of the concepts, methodologies and approaches involving academic research on Old Norse Religion (pre-Christian). Regarding concepts, it was held a discussion especially around the English language publications made in the 1970s to the present day. For methodological debate essentially we used the Danish archaeologists involved with the project Väger till Midgård (Roads to Midgard). The main objective is to provide researchers with some parameters for the basis of his research on religion and religiosity in Medieval Scandinavia.
