Abstract

Intolerance is present in every human being, as well as in the whole society. As collective intolerance manifestations, we mention the current crisis of refugees, racism, anti-Semitism, religious intolerance, intolerance towards homosexuals and transsexuals. Individual intolerance can be imposed by the dependence on the respective culture or on certain individuals. It receives its impulse from the unconscious, being it either due to the identification with the society or because there is no tolerance towards some repressed and denied personal desires. This way, the achievement of tolerance is intimately associated to the process of getting awareness.
