This article represents a part of a larger study which analyzes the five Latin American and Caribbean episcopate’s General Conferences in a Christological perspective, the subject of my PhD. Although the Medellín conference does not elaborate a systematic Christology, we might find some Christological elements into it I will forward present the Christological strands of the second Conference and then dwell on some contexts and contributions that served to give rise to them. After that, I will list the repercussions of the Medellín Christological lines on the nascent Christology of liberation.
