Abstract

This article demonstrates how misogyny or feminine aversion was one of the defining features of ultraconservative Catholicism represented in this work by the Brazilian Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP), founded on July 26, 1960 by professor of History of Civilization and Modern and Contemporary History of the Catholic University of São Paulo, Plínio Corrêa de Oliveira.
