This article explores the life of Stanislaw Szmajzner, the only survivor of the Sobibor extermination camp who came to live in Brazil after the end of World War II. The objective sought is to expose about Shlomo's life, in order to keep the survivor's memory alive and also, through his example, to demonstrate the horrors experienced in the Nazi death camps. Starting from his childhood, the article explores Szmajzner's life before his captivity in Sobibor after the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, the period when he was a prisoner in the extermination camp, his participation in the revolt in the camp and his life in Brazil, where he took part in the recognition of Gustav Wagner as a participant in the genocide that took place in Sobibor.
