Abstract

In France during the conformation of the Republic and the Empire were developed a group of images in objects of everyday use that refers to the characters and ideas of each time. These were “patriotic” objects because they used to serve to educate and motivate the Republican or Imperial feelings in every social levels. Objects with similar characteristics with familiar images to those used in France, were also used during the independence process in Colombia. For example the pottery, seals and coins with the representation of Liberty, fasces, prigian cup and the eagle.
