São Paulo 1932 Revolt: between memory domains and history way(less).

Abstract

The frontiers between memory and history, in spite of opposition between them, are extremely soft about 1932 confrontation knowledge. With the purpose of detecting speech of power in memory, historiography concentrates its efforts in opposite guidelines, sometimes it intends to explain classes fight, sometimes it intends to emphasize Revolt spontaneous character. This text wants to discuss if historical production helps or not help a controversial winner speech and, starting from analysis discussed, proposes a new interpretative focus.
