Abstract

This article presents a small biographical sketch by Edgar Morin at the Institut de Memoire de L’Edition Contemporaine (IMEC), in Caen. From the analysis of the arquivo gathered in the “Edgar Morin Fund”, this study is designed and analyzed in the path of the French philosopher, able to delineate his intellectual profile. A methodology used combines the bibliography with documentary research no IMEC. Concludes that the intellectual history of Edgar Morin reveals an inseparability between biographical experience, theoretical production and ethical compromise. It remains fundamental to rethink our understanding, interdisciplinarity and contemporary human aspirations.

Gustavo de Castro da Silva, Universidade de Brasília

Bolsista de Produtividade de Pesquisa (PQ2-CNPq). Poeta, escritor, jornalista e antropólogo. Prêmio Rumos Itaú Cultural de Literatura (2013-14). Professor de Estética da Faculdade de Comunicação da Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Coordenador dos Grupos Siruiz (Estudos em Comunicação e Imaginação Literária) e Biocom (Comunicação e Estudos Biográficos). Autor, entre outros, de O Enigma Orides (Hedra, 2015) (2a. edição, 2026).
