Abstract

This work intends to explore the acoustic memories of contemporary Brazil. Melody, rhythm, instruments, poetry and sound linked to narratives of Africa-Brazil circuit. Musicality forged by mixture and padê, by a gregarious sense of life. Musicians and music that refused to accept the primacy of the melody over drums. The contemporary acoustic tropicalisms excelled by opening, exchange and injuctions. They choose a total refusal of sound apartheid. Let's celebrate padê as a promise of future.
