Abstract

The history of the cult of St. James and the pilgrimage to Compostela in the Middle Ages was elaborate through reports about the presence of the Apostle in Hispania. This paper analysis this narratives from the consideration of three aspects of medieval travel: the physical, imaginary and symbolic ways, covered by St James and piligrims.
