Abstract

The airport logistic in Brazil, used by the aeronautical industry installed in thecountry, was analyzed as a development perspective for São José dos Campos Region. Theaeronautical industry in Brazil is concentrated in the Southeastern Region, with prominence ofSão José dos Campos. The theoretical approach of Industrial Logistic was used to analyze therole of cargo centers in contemporary economy, organized in innovation, production andcommercialization nets in world-wide market. The Regional Economy was used to characterizethe aeronautical industry and to analyze the reasons of its concentration in São José dosCampos, formalizing a local productive arrangement led by Embraer S/A.
