EVOLUTION OF THE QUALITY OF THE RURAL JOB IN BRAZIL AND REGIONS BETWEEN 2004 AND 2009 FROM A GENDER PERSPECTIVE

In a context of changes of the labor market in Brazil, this article aims to analyze thequality of the occupation in the rural Brazil in 2004 and 2009 by estimating an index whichsummarizes variables related to formality, income and other benefits received by the worker. Italso analyzes the evolution of this index for female e male workers across the Brazilian regions,to evaluate the women´s progress between 2004 and 2009. Data comes from, PNAD (NationalHousehold Sample Survey) 2004 and 2009. In synthesis, female rural worker recorded a smallerprogress in their job quality index than male rural worker, especially due to the incomecomponent; and regional disparities became more severe in the analyzed period.Downloads
