The Ideal Typical Scheme in the Research on Entrepreneurship

Alfred Schütz, creator of social phenomenology, says that it is only possible tounderstand a phenomenon from the rational social action, proposes the employment of theideal type as a suitable research methodology for investigation of the rational social action.This method is still in attempt to reconcile subjectivity and objectivity in social research. Inthis paper is discusse the possibility of employment of the ideal type in entrepreneurshipresearch. Presenting a methodological option to entrepreneurship study, specifically theideal‐typical scheme, is an attempt to contribute to the consolidation epistemological of thisarea.Downloads
