Through an analysis of two poems from the Drummondian corpus, as well, Poema de Sete Faces, published in Alguma Poesia (1930), and Eternal, published in Fazendeiro no Ar (1954), we aim to investigate the conception that Carlos Drummond de Andrade had about the being. For this research, we’ll have the work of the literary critic José Guilherme Merquior as a theoretical basis. He was a friend of Itabira’s poet and a great researcher of Drummond’s work. Our major hypothesis is that that is a strong dialogue between Drummond and the thoughts of the German philosopher Martin Heidegger. In both analyses we pretend to do here, we will try to find these connections between de Heideggerian ontology and Drummondian’s thought.
