This text revisits and expands upon the reflections we have developed, in light of classical rhetorical teachings and the new rhetoric, concerning the nature of the epideictic genre and the persuasive force within the discourse of the intolerant (FERREIRA, 2019, 2022, 2024, 2025a, 2025b). We consider that intolerance can be subdivided into three distinct and ascending levels, based on observations of the practice of the epideictic genre in contemporary contexts.
