Speech given on October 9, 2024 by Professor Tercio Sampaio Ferraz Junior at the ceremony in which he received the title of Professor Emeritus from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo.

Author Biography

Tercio Sampaio Ferraz Junior, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo - PUC-SP, São Paulo, SP,

He holds a degree in Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1964), a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1964), a PhD in Philosophy from the Johannes Gutemberg University of Mainz (1968) and a PhD in Law from the University of São Paulo (1970). He is currently a consultant for the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, a full professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, a retired professor from the University of São Paulo and professor emeritus at the Faculty of Law of USP - Ribeirão Preto. He has experience in the area of ​​Law, working mainly on the following topics: law, democracy, power, constitution and economic order.
