In an increasingly interconnected and fast-paced world, this article argues that good manners and good customs are not relics of the past, but fundamental pillars for building healthy human relationships and a harmonious society. It explores various concepts of manners, differentiating superficial courtesy from urbanity rooted in respect and empathy. It analyzes their importance as a social lubricant, a tool for personal growth, and a key factor for the common good. Through practical examples in daily life, the workplace, and the digital sphere, it illustrates how the lack of manners can generate conflict, mistrust, and a hostile environment. It emphasizes the value of "good expressions" as verbal manifestations of a considerate spirit. Finally, it highlights that the practice of good manners is a conscious and ethical decision that contributes to a more respectful and dignified society for all.
