Challenges and aspects of international legal cooperation in combating match fixing

The present article intend to discusses the challenges that several countries face in the regulation of sports betting activity, the fight against match & spot fixing and what measures can be adopted to increase the protection of the integrity of (inter)national sport. The transnationality of crimes, the numerous legal/regulatory loopholes, the lack of investment of resources and the precarious cooperation between stakeholder are some of the factors the contribute to the difficulty of confronting this topic that is so complex but necessary nowadays, mainly due to account of the advancement of technology and the level of sophistication that such criminal activities have reached.
