Abstract

The article proposes a few reflections concerning the relations between two facets of the present : on the one hand the lived present of daily personal affairs (le quotidien), on the other the present of world affairs as reported by the media (l’actualité). What kind of hypotheses is it possible to make concerning the diversity of significations that may correspond to the widespread habit of constantly following the news on one’s e-phone, which seems to directly connect to one another these two dimensions of the present ?
