Abstract

The article examines how the contemporary infosphere transforms the perception and social experience of war. Drawing on phenomenology of atmospheres and semiotics of aesthesis, it argues that the ubiquitous circulation of information transforms conflict in an everyday atmosphere. Especially in social media environments, the continuous repetition of images and narrative fragments reshapes the aspectualisation of war events, gradually attenuating their emotional intensity. As a result, war increasingly stabilises as a diffuse sensory background rather than as an exceptional event.
