This article analyzes Anna Maria Maiolino’s artistic production through the lens of materiality, interaction and meaning-making. It examines how the artist’s work constructs worlds through relations between matter, form, gesture, body and experience, highlighting the semiotic processes involved in the invention of sensible and material worlds.
