This essay seeks to examine how History shapes the perception of individuals and presents itself as the constitutive ground of our experiences. We seek to understand, therefore, what it means to say that the way we perceive the world around us is historically conditioned. For this purpose, we will mostly use the interpretation that philosopher Paulo Arantes, in his first book published in 1981, entitled Hegel – The Order of Time, has by the most famous German idealist, G.W.F. Hegel.
