Engagement and hope: considerations about Medellín and Moltmann's theology of hope

This article aims to show the relationship between Medellín bishop’s considerations about Latin America theology, which had to deal with oppression situations caused by dictatorships in many parts of the continent and the theology of hope as proposed by Jürgen Moltmann. Even speaking from different contexts and realities, we have believed that there are some approaches that must be considered and allow us to establish a relation between the realities analyzed by Medellín bishops and the category of hope, theologically developed by Jürgen Molmtann.
