Abstract

This article aims at analyzing philosophical and theologically categories memoria passionis and "Mystic eyes open", developed in new political theology of Johann Baptist Metz. This is justified for being the work of this distinguished theologian of political theology philosophically elaborately as theory of law and State. There's also the centrality of anthropology brought by Karl Rahner to contemporary theology, to formulate your transcendental anthropology and propel, in line with other theologians, an intense theological renewal process, which is part This new theology. For being a theological complex formulated for about five decades, this German theologian synthesized in his works Memoria Passionis and Mystic eyes open, both written in late 2000. To achieve this goal, it will expose the pertinence and relevance of new political theology in contemporary terms, whose literature concentration refers to the beginnings of this theology. Then memoria passionis categories will be analysed and "Mystic eyes open", with reasoning in homonymous works respectively. This analysis is expected to contribute to the debate on the political theology, so expensive and urgent nowadays, in the context of post-modernity and globalization, which requires theology ontological fidelity to what she is: contemporary discourse about God.
