Abstract

The “Separation State-Churchin Brazil” with no great pretensions,to a little valued theme in the civilhistoriography in which. The separationState-Church according to the act119-A from January 7th, 1890, wehave analyzed the Public Pastoral inthe Brazilian episcopacy to the clergyand congregation and the leader ofthe Provisional Government, relatingthe situation of the Church in Brazilwith the “indignant” separation of thetwo allied powers since the colonizationof Brazil.
