Abstract

This paper presents the structure and the most important aspects of Christian initiation rite of Hippolytus of Rome, essentially, explains and analyzes his “Apostolic Tradition”. In this perspective, discourses over the pre-catechumenate, the immediate preparation for Christian initiation, the baptismal rite, and post-baptismal, and the anointing. In short, this paper wants to demonstrate how the ritual of Christian Initiation of Hippolytus is fundamentally a complete model of initiation to Christian life for the Church.
