Abstract

The parable of the Good Samaritan has universal and timeless lessons and at any time the application of your message will benefit men, producing best societies in their human relations. In this article we aspire to understand the historical background in which the parable was given, which will increase our understanding of its message and help us to contextualize their lessons. From the good example of the Samaritan and the indifference of the priest and Levite in the face of need, we understand how prejudice and contempt for others are feelings that cause damage to the soul and as pure love, coming from whom we least expect is the key for peaceful coexistence between men and true spirituality.
