Abstract

The Hermeneutics is a science of considerable importance for the understanding of Scripture. In this the reader of Scripture today, in contact with the text of centuries ago, can understand the message and put into its meaning. For this to happen and that is the hermeneutic process that leads to both, there are ways and options to be taken. St Augustine’s work The Christian doctrine, presents criteria and suggestions are valid even today. Here is presented an introductory study of Hermeneutics from texts of the ancient Church of the Holy Theologian.

Mauro Negro

Pe. Mauro Negro, OSJ , é professor de Teologia Bíblica na PUC-SP, Campus Ipiranga. Possui graduação em Teologia no Studium Theologicum de Curitiba (PR) e na Faculdade de Teologia da PUC-SP. Possui também graduação em Filosofia pela FAI, mestrado em Teologia Dogmática com concentração em Estudos Bíblicos pela Faculdade de Teologia da PUC-SP. Atualmente faz o Doutorado na área de Teologia Bíblica na PUC-RJ.
