Abstract

An analysis yet so brief language dogmatic discourses of XVXVII centuries, the period of colonization, leads us to the realization that the task of proclaiming salvation to the people of the new continent, some conceptions of the world served as beacons grounds for missionary work. The catechetical movement in America performed in this period is marked by speeches and actions by the worldview deeply involved sesquicentista for evangelization dependent manner linked to the Lusitanian colonial enterprise that became the leitmotif and the flagship of the presence of the Church and evangelization in remote distant lands. Enough connected to the process, leaving the clear catechization dependence on some conceptions of the world that influenced greatly the discourse and actions to be applied for with the villagers and settlers.
