Fundamentos teológicos da Gaudium et Spes

Abstract

The author revisits the theme of the Second Vatican Council, task which is more than necessary nowadays. He searches the basis of the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes, and presents them in theological perspective as being God’s action in the history and His universal plan of salvation, which makes the church and her pastoral action not being focus on herself, but should face the challenges of contemporary world. From an ecclesiological point of view, presents the discipleship and the mission as a realization of that theological point of view.
