Abstract

In this short article is studied the confrontation between two lines of thought about Adam’s sin, and the grace of Christ, namely: the Pelagian heresy and St. Augustine answer to that heresy. At first moment, we can notice the influence of the Pelagian doctrine on the original sin and grace, and after, the Augustinian answer, in a synthetic form, we can notice the origins of a dogma which become St. Augustine known as the “Original Sin creator”. We have found, in this study, rather the way to understand the Pelagianism as the development issues in the Augustine thought as far as to reach the necessity of Christ Grace to the nature and freedom restoration which were corrupted by Adam’s sin.
