The biblical text and the Church: construction and reconstruction in history

This article is part of a qualitative research on the historical use of the biblical text in pastoral, articulated from the beginning of the Christian era, passing the medieval period, renaissance, modern and contemporary, this brief historical study is a prerequisite for the other stages of this research pastoral use of the Bible. This historic building was made from biblical historians Europeans allowed to build a timeline of the role of the Bible with the Roman Catholic Church. Significantly by the fact that over the centuries the use of the biblical text was accompanied by several questions: How to interpret it? How to live it? Who can read? How to read? When you read? Although not lacked controversy in this regard, it is undeniable the influence of Judeo-Christian text in Western society, motivating art, literature, academic studies, policy. It is a long story which presents some nods from the experience of the early Church, so that they can raise new questions, especially regarding the place of Scripture in the Church’s pastoral today.References
