Abstract

This article seeks to show how the narrative dimension is present in the passage of Ex 13.17 to 14.31, also demonstrating the use of techniques of literary fiction in crafting a narrative theology. In this study the plot, one realizes that it is organized in a way to show that the active presence of Adonai is decisive for each pivotal moment of the events and the events that happened “in its apparent absence” by the human protagonists, have something about the sequence of actions influence. Anyway, so the reader can have clarity about the importance of this episode and on the activeness of Adonai in this narrative, the narrator constantly affirms the absolute divine omniscience at the expense of other human characters.
