Abstract

The presented text, that originates from the Conference of the same name and was presented in the First Seminary about the Theologian José Comblin, deals with the author’s impressions regarding to the meaning of Christianity in the present context, noticeable from the transformations of the Latin American’s context. Comblin’s perceptions are presented in eight keys’s reading: 1) The crisis’s existence; 2) historical elements; 3) the cultural context; 4) the newness; 5) the restoration attempts; 6) the neo Pentecostal’s context; 7) the Gospel; and finally 8) the future of religion.
