The research assumes as a hypothesis that the Eucharist, in order to guarantee its relevance in the economy of Christianity, as a real presence of Christ, needs to be interpreted in a relational and intersubjective way. How to affirm the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist through bread and wine in an ecclesiological and pneumatological sense? First, based on Zeno Carra, the insufficiencies of the Thomist-Tridentine model for the explanation of the Eucharistic fact are explained, showing the metaphysical problems of the assumption of the category of Aristotelian substance by Thomas Aquinas and the theological difficulties arising from this choice by he. By presenting the limits of a substantialist, static and dualist reading, the text then turns to Hegel to articulate an ontological reading of the Eucharist from an intersubjective and relational basis. Finally, the intersubjective Eucharistic ontology is presented as a pneumatological action that unites, at the same time, the event of the real presence of Christ and the ecclesiological liturgical act performed in community.
