Abstract

The present work aims to analyze the notions of faith and reason in the text Epistle to Diognetus. The study makes a commented reading of each chapters that make up the work, seeking to highlight the main arguments present in the text and observe how the author uses a rationalized argument to explain faith. This analysis is important for us to think about the viability of this relationship between faith and reason in a period of decline of ancient philosophy and the rise of religious thought in the first centuries of the Christian era.
