Charles Fox Parham
his confusing and unorthodox eschatology
Keywords:
Charles Parham;, eschatology, pentecostalism, doctrines, mormonismAbstract
This article presents the eschatological thought of Charles Fox Parham, based on his work Uma Voz Crying in the Desert, published in Brazil. Reading this work led us to list the different doctrinal points that shape his thinking and indelibly demonstrate how far he is from the way Pentecostal eschatology, as is well known in the different denominations that profess Pentecostalism, define themselves, position themselves and defend themselves. In view of this, this article has listed the points as they appear in the work mentioned and seeks to make clear what are the points of divergence and opposition to the Pentecostal eschatological consensus, let’s say, majority. It was concluded that Charles Parham’s thoughts presented in the aforementioned text are heterodox, or even heretical, in the points he addresses.
