Abstract

This article is part of a doctorate research in psychology that treats of the healing practices of the “benzedeiras” in the State of Alagoas. In him we make a reflection concerning the healing practices of the “benzedeiras” and because in the middle of the progress of the science, where the medicine comes more and more specialized in diagnoses and in treatment the people look for the « benzedeiras » as treatment form. Soon afterwards, it is approached the benzeção and care in the technical modernity, where this is traditionally one in the care ways that involves religiosity and spirituality, so much of the benzedeira when of that that the search. He/she involves personal questionamentos and aspects related to existential reasons, what drives in last analysis to accomplish in this article a reflection concerning the relationship between the blessing and the sense search.
