Abstract

The Easter celebration in Israel recalls the historical event in which the Hebrew slaves from Egypt, were released by the strong hand of the Lord and led to the Promised Land. Although the prescription of a memory to be celebrated perpetually, we note that it was not always observed this prescription and the reasons and rites have undergone substantial changes in the course of Israel’s history as shown in the accounts of the Easter holy books of the Old Testament.
