Abstract

This article brings the contribution of the Protestant theologian Jürgen Moltmann to the reflections on the meaning of the Resurrection of Jesus. Nowadays, Christians are constantly called to be ready to offer the reasons for their hope (cf. 1 Peter 3:15). Thus, dispensing with the other innumerable (and equally rich) possible contributions, we will limit ourselves to borrowing the lens of the "promise" and from it to looking at the empty tomb and to that experience which led the disciples to believe: this one! He is risen! "(Lk 24: 6). Finally, some reflections about social commitment will be pointed out, that come from the faith in the Resurrection.
