Emotional factors on the origin of language retarding
Abstract
Phoniatry has given a little worth to the emotional aspects as causing agents of speech delay, fixing its attention, in this view, on autism and infantil schizophrenia. The others disorders of language development, in which the explicated organical causes are not found, has been attributed to the lack of opportunities to learn, or to ‘minimal’ organical disorders, or even vacantly considered as functional perturbations. It is a fact that there are a lot os references about the ‘baby talk’ as sign of emotional fixation or regression, and that stuttering, sometimes, has been explained by perturbations on phycho-sexual development. In this same way, Rousey tried to chart the articulation mistakes in accordance with failures in phycho-sexual development. It seems, however, that we are missing clinical studies and researches about function of the dynamic of affective relationships in speech delay dealed more entirely, that means, without separation of its communicatives, semantic, prosodic and grammatical aspects. This paper intend to contribute to the activation of such approach. For so, it was organized with the following steps: conception and theorical basements; presentation and interpretation of clinical findings; conclusions.Downloads
