Symbolism evolution as a basis to comprehension and diagnosis of language retard
Abstract
This article discusses the development of representative abilities, studying the relations between symbolic play, language acquisition and the constitution of mental images. It stresses the relations between symbolic behavior and the general development of intelligence. The understanding of those relations allows a better comprehension of the delay of language acquisition and it also helps defining evaluative procedures and further therapeutic follow up.Downloads
