The psychologist work in a special school with orientation group for parents of hearing

Abstract

This paper reports the experience of a psychologist working in the orientation of groups of parents in a school for deaf children. The purpose of organizing a group of orientation to parents of deaf children between 2,6 and 7 years old, in a school aims to deepen, at the emotional level, the relationship between parents and children, aiming to elaborate the dreads and anxieties, the feelings of guilt and shame. As soon as the parents succeed to perceive what occurs in the relationship with their children, they are able to change their attitudes allowing that the children grow up and fulfill theirselves as deaf people.
