Basic aspects to the orientation of the family and of the hearing impaired child
Abstract
A brief summary on some theories of phonemic-phonological development is presented. The theories discussed include behaviorism, structuralism, prosodic theory, natural phonology and cognitivism. Initially a description of the basic ideas of each theory, of their strengths and weaknesses, is given. It is followed by a discussion focused on certain aspects that aim to stimulate the reader to try to elaborate a more holistic theory on the phonemic-phonological development.Downloads
