Screening program for hearing impaired children on the first year of life

Abstract

The authors present a program of screening for hearing loss in the first months of life, based in two preliminary studies in two towns of the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The implementation of the program provides an earlier beginning of the habilitation works with deaf children.
