The speech pathologist role on aphasia therapy
Abstract
Data analysis which are going to be discussed is based on Jakobson’s ideas in which to kinds of aphasic disturbances are pointed out: similarity and contiguity. What occurs with the aphasic subject is the individual’s incapacity to slip between both axis, favoring mostly one of them. This is the case of the aphasic subject under study here, the paradigmatic. It is to be concluded, then, that the similarity disturbance decreases gradually due to discoursive therapeutical process. This decrease occurs through substitution, employing metaphors in place of metonimic.
