Unforgetfulness: about the selection of clinical material in the speech and language therapy research

By considering and explaining the differences between the notions of scientific method and clinical method, and also between the clinical and clinical-therapeutic spaces, this article assumes that the scientific knowledge produced in a clinical field emerges from an interpersonal link: the therapeutic relationship. Thus, recalling the experience lived with his – her patients is an essential and reliable criterion that must be used by the therapist in the selection of clinical material for research.Downloads
