Abstract

This study aimed to examine how Ethics has been introduced in the phonoaudiology courses ministered by the undergraduate programs of the city of Curitiba, including the Universwidade Tuiuti do Paraná and the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná. It is our assumption that technical qualification and knowledge of theory will not hold if not underlined in ethical concepts. The data collection involved the interview of 58 students of the last year of the aforementioned courses. From the responses obtained it can be noted that the Ethics being taught focus on the deontological aspects of professional conduct. From this evidence, we consider that it is necessary that educational institutions undergo a critical analysis of the themes and approaches used in the education of phonoaudiology students regarding Ethics.
