The setting: case study of speech and language home care

Abstract

This research aimed at investigating the therapeutic setting on an aphasic lady that had undergone Speech and Language therapy at home. This study grew from the observation of how the potential space was established by the therapeutic relationship, considering Winnicott’s premises. In this perspective, important questions fro the outlining of the Speech and Language therapy specificity were taken into account, analyzing some points of view about the therapeutic relationship and highlighting aspects relative to the Speech and Language home care approach.
