Signals and Otoneurological Symptoms in the Dysfunction Temporomandibular

The main issue if this research was to detect and to evaluate the otoneurological and central signals and simptons related to vestibular functions; ten female subjects with temporomandibular dysfunction that had been submitted to a vectoeletronistagmografy (VENG), with 30 to 47 years old, were evaluated. The subjects were followed at the Otoneurologic Laboratory of Fonoaudiology of the Tuiuti University – Paraná. The findings were neck pain or disability (100%), refered pain on shoulder or arm (100%), dizziness (90%), paresthesia (90%), seizure (80%), headache (80%), feeling of empty head (70%), and anxiety (70%). The vestibular exam was normal in two cases (20%). Peripheric vestibular disfunctions were diagnosed in larger frequency on light cases (80%).Downloads
